Rendersys developed a tablet web application for HelenExley Gift Books, a leading specialty publication company in UK having customers globally. With tablet platform gaining increasing acceptance as a multi-function device for consuming all types of digital content, HelenExley wanted to actively explore leveraging this platform to make available their traditional print based products in digital format.
As a first step, they wanted to get credible feedback from their channel partners by showcasing a live demo. Rendersys successfully designed, developed and transformed one of their print products for demo on Samsung Galaxy Tab, a target device identified for demonstration to their trade partners. The web application incorporates HTML5 and multi-touch gesture events based on JQuerry-Mobile for intuitive user experience for a mobile device.
Smartphones are the next big thing on the internet with traffic originating from these devices already equaling that from PCs & in some segments and regions even exceeding. And this is increase even further with significant rise in the number of smartphone users that's forecasted until 2015. Web is now increasingly becoming mobile.
